Contributing Guide

1.1 Registration on Crowdarts

To pledge a campaign you, you must register on Crowdarts, in order to make their contribution traceable. The users who are not willing to sign up for an account on the platform, can access it from their Facebook/Linkedin accounts.

Registration on Crowdarts is free.

You can support a campaign through the following payment modalities: VISA, MASTERCARD, PAYPAL, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS.

1.2. Pledge to a Campaign

To pledge to a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdarts the user must be a citizen of 18 years, or older, as well as a private or public body. 

To pledge to a campaign, first make sure that you’re logged in to your Crowdarts account. Then, just click the green “Back This Campaign” button on any campaign page. 

On the next page, you can select the reward tier your’d like to receive and your pledge amount will automatically populate. 

In case you choose a reward, you will have to give a valid address for the shipping.In case you choose a reward, you will have to give a valid address for the shipping.

If you don’t want a certain reward, select “No thanks, I just want to help the campaign” and enter your desired pledge amount.

After selecting “Continue,” you’ll move on to confirm your payment details. Lastly, you must confirm the pledge.

 Then you’re all set. You’ll receive a confirmation email within moments of completing your pledge.

Donations can range from a minimum of Euro 1.00 and a maximum of Euro 1,000.00. You can not make a donation to fractional amount (ex. Euro 5.50)

 1.3. Backers Information

Campaign creators will see your Crowdarts account name, your pledge amount, email address and city, as well as an address for shipping the rewards  and the reward you’ve selected. Crowdarts is not responsible for the processing of such information. The proponent shall bear all responsibility for their use and disclosure.

Can I pledge anonymously?

Yes, you can. Users can choose whether to show the amount they pledged or not, checking the box in the campaign’s page. By pledging anonymously, the user appears as an “anonymous pledger.” However, at the end of the campaign, his/her private information will be passed on to the campaign’s creator.  

1.4. Payments

The pledges for  “Keep it All” and “All or Nothing” campaigns  are instead pre-approved and credited at the end of the campaign and only if the campaign hit its financial target.

In case of a “All or Nothing” campaign that pledges are only charged at the end of a campaign if it is successfully funded.  If the campaign does not reach its funding goal, your card is never charged.

You can cancel a pledge just in case of “All or Nothing” campaign,  by checking out the pledge in the “Pre-approved payments” list of your PayPal account.

In case of “Keep it All” , the money will be debited from the backers in real time, with amount being credited to the campaign creator’s  PayPal Account. The backer of an “Keep it All” production campaign can’t cancel their pledges. 

After pledging to a Crowdarts, PayPal will issue a receipt of your payment and send it to your email address.

1.5. Rewards 
If you have not received your rewards within the set deadline, please contact the campaign owner. He is liable for the rewards promised through the platform.

If you have some question about the campaign, please contact the Creator.

Each campaign page contains an e-mail address of the creator.

If you are already a backer and you would like to make your question public, you can post a comment on the campaign. The creator will be notified by email when you do.
